And gluten-free baking doesn’t have to be hard either!

I grew up in a classic Midwestern household, helping my mom cook and bake in the kitchen since I was old enough to stand up on a step-stool. I was raised on home-cooked meals, and my Mom was often baking something from scratch.

But after some health issues started in high school, I started looking for ways to eat healthier so I could feel better. After a week of eating gluten-free, my health changed drastically, and I’ve never looked back.

I’ve embraced a gluten-free diet as a challenge. Don’t think you can make a delicious gluten-free pie crust? It’s possible. What about gluten-free cinnamon rolls? Yes, you can make those too. All it takes is a little practice and a few tricks up your sleeves.

I’m here to save you from all the dirty work. I love sharing gluten-free recipes that you can count on, including healthy breakfast recipes, fun drinks, and decadent desserts.

If I had to play favorites, I’d recommend checking out my:

While I grew up as an Army brat, Colorado has been my home for over ten years now and I am totally in love with it. My husband is a Colorado native, my bearded mountain man, and is what I like to call my Swiss army knife. If you need anything, he’s got your back!

I have two kids, under 6, who keep me pretty busy on the day-to-day. My favorite things include eating (duh!), baking, reading, puns, sarcasm, hiking, hot chocolate, margaritas and movies.

Thank you for checking out Mile High Mitts.
