FILLED with orange flavor, quick, and easy, this Orange Thunder recipe is a great alcoholic drink to serve at your next football game party!

Pouring an orange thunder into a glass with ice

THUNDER!!! *Stomp, stomp*

If you’ve ever been to a Broncos game in Colorado you should know what I’m talking about. πŸ™‚

My husband is a big Broncos fan. His parents are even season ticket holders. And a few years ago we discovered the fruity, tasty, highly alcoholic, bang-for-your-buck Orange Thunder drink at the stadium.

If you’re ever at a Broncos game, find one of their booths and grab yourself an Orange Thunder! You’ll thank me later πŸ˜‰

Not going to a Broncos game anytime soon?

Which, no one is, since COVID is in the air! Thankfully, you can easily make an Orange Thunder at home too!

So if you’re looking for a super festive and fun alcoholic Orange-colored drink, this is the drink for you!

And hey, it doesn’t have to begin and end with football. This is a great Halloween colored drink as well, perfect for a hot Summer day, or any orange color-themed party.

Orange drinks on a tray

We love easy alcoholic drinks here.

My husband is a great bartender. BUT, sometimes I like to venture into the world of fancy drinks. And, I want it to be easy and delicious. Just like this drink.

The basics to this drink are oranges, orange vodka, triple sec and orange soda.

Orange, orange, and oh yeah, more orange! At the stadium, they typically use sprite instead of orange soda. We prefer a stronger orange flavor. Ginger ale would be delicious too.

TIP: If you already have plain vodka, you can use that too. We just prefer as much orange flavor as possible.

The best part about this drink? It doesn’t taste very strong. It’s kind of dangerous.Β With three shots per drink, this drink delivers.

But if you can’t handle a drink that strong, I would recommend doing only 2 shots of the clementine vodka instead.

To make this drink, it’s simple. Take two glasses and fill them up about half way with ice. To each glass add:

  • 2 shots of clementine vodka
  • 1 shot of triple sec
  • juice of half an orange
  • 1/2 can of orange soda

Stir. Top each drink with an orange slice if you want them to look fancy!

Sip, and enjoy alcoholic orange Heaven. πŸ˜‰
